In March, NHS Dorset with partners held a “Sandpit event” to bring together interested parties and explore opportunities to test, learn, and share how Patient Activation, might be used in Dorset. You can read the summary report here.
At the event, it was clear exploration through a person/patient engagement piece of work would be invaluable to help answer questions raised at the event and inform our Dorset approach.
The opportunity flyer provides details on what I am looking for from engagement. Any interested organisations can express their interest in delivering the whole cohort or part cohort, and providing findings as described, by using the Microsoft form –Patient Participation Opportunity (Page 1 of 5).
The closing date to express interest is the 14th November. Organisations can use existing and/or new 1-2-1 or group opportunities and will be reimbursed according to the number and reach to cohorts of interest.
A follow up event on Person Activation is planned in March 2026, where partners and interested parties will be sharing their learning over the last 12 months and I would like to present findings with participating organisations on this work, hence the tight timescales.
