Carers Week 2026: Celebrating and Supporting Dorset’s Carers 8–14 June 2026

18th May 2026

The Dorset Carers Partnership Group has been working closely across the Integrated Care System to coordinate a wide range of activities for Carers Week 2026, taking place from 8–14 June.

This year’s programme brings together partners from health, social care, the voluntary and community sector, and local neighbourhood teams to celebrate carers, raise awareness, and improve access to support. A full calendar of events is now available on the Our Dorset website: Carers Week 2026 in Dorset: 8–14 June – Our Dorset

Alongside the main programme, several activities will also run before and after Carers Week, helping to highlight regular community groups and widen opportunities for carers to get involved. Additional events are still being finalised and will be added over the coming week.

Neighbourhood working is a key focus for 2026, with partners aiming to ensure a good spread of events across Dorset’s main towns and areas with strong transport links. Colleagues across the system — including those in the voluntary and community sector — are warmly encouraged to take part, promote local activities, or host an event in their area.

For those unable to get involved in June, planning will soon begin for Carers Rights Day events taking place around 19–20 November 2026, offering another opportunity to support carers and raise awareness of their vital role.
