Dorset Council is inviting residents, community organisations, and partners across the voluntary and community sector to help shape Dorset’s ambition to become an Age‑Friendly County.
The initiative focuses on ensuring Dorset is a place where people of all ages can live well, stay connected, and feel supported as they grow older. This includes improving access to services, strengthening community networks, reducing loneliness, and creating environments that enable people to remain active and independent for longer.
To support this work, Dorset Council is asking local people and organisations to share their experiences, ideas, and priorities. Insights gathered will help shape future plans and ensure that the voices of older people — and those who support them — are central to the county’s approach.

The VCSA encourages partners across the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector to take part and share this opportunity through their networks. Together, we can help build a Dorset where everyone can age well.
