There are also a number of online options for attending the training.
This 2-hour interactive session will cover:
➡️ What the causes are of fuel poverty and how it affects people
➡️ How to identify people at risk of fuel poverty – and how to have difficult conversations
➡️ How to be energy efficient
➡️ How to signpost and refer people to help.
Information on giving people information – participants will be emailed an information pack with links and resources.
The session is ideal if you work with vulnerable people in any capacity. This will increase your ability to help them. You may be the only person in a position to identify that someone is facing problems with fuel poverty or their accommodation and this is what to do.
The Energy Outreach Project is being delivered in partnership between Dorset Community Action and Citizens Advice in East Dorset and Purbeck. They also offer bespoke presentations to your team or organisation and can fit in with a team meeting you have going on.
The project ends at the end of March and so you will need to book now.
