A free helpline to assist people who have worries about losing their home, perhaps due to financial difficulties or relationship breakdowns, has been created by Dorset Council, in partnership with national charities Citizens Advice and Shelter.
The Housing Advice line offers residents in the Dorset Council area free, non-judgemental and confidential support, no matter how big or small people’s concerns are.
Help is on hand if you:
~ have a tenancy, whether it’s with a private landlord or social housing provider
~ have a mortgage
~ are a landlord or
~ are a lettings agent.
Guidance, support and even grants or loans are available to people who may have fallen behind on their rent or mortgage.
