As the year draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the journey we’ve taken together through my recent four-part blog series, shaped around the Dorset VCSA’s four key pillars. If you haven’t had a chance to read them yet, you can find the full series here.
Each pillar—Collaboration, Communication, Representation, and Resilience—has come to life not just through words, but through the energy, commitment, and spirit of our vibrant voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector across Dorset.
This final blog of the year isn’t about strategy or structure—it’s about gratitude.
🙏 Thank You for Strengthening Our Voice
To every VCS/VCSE organisation, communication partner, and individual who shared a post, forwarded an update, hosted a conversation, or simply kept the faith in what we’re building together — thank you.
Your support has enabled the Dorset VCSA to more effectively share updates from our statutory partners—including NHS Dorset, Dorset Council, and BCP Council—as well as news about community-led projects, initiatives, and the work happening directly within the Assembly.
By opening up your established networks and infrastructure, you’ve helped us reach further, connect deeper, and build trust across the sector. You’ve shown that communication isn’t just about broadcasting—it’s about belonging.
💬 Looking Ahead
As we move into 2026, we’ll continue to build on this momentum. We’re committed to making our communications more inclusive, timely, and relevant—always shaped by the voices of those who make Dorset’s VCS/VCSE sector so powerful.
We’ll be inviting more feedback, sharing more stories, and creating more opportunities for collaboration. Because the strength of our sector lies in the strength of our relationships.
