You are invited to join us at Dorset’s Stakeholder Conversation on Age-friendly Communities at the Dorford Centre on 20th November. This will come hot on the heels of the most recent event on Social Connection in September and will be the first public conversation about what it takes to become an Age-friendly Community.
Dorset are at the start of its journey to become an Age-friendly Community. At the heart of it all, is the desire for people to live better, where every generation, disability or background enjoys life, as they age.
This event brings together community organisations, key partners and leaders to explore what Age-friendly Communities mean for Dorset. You will be able to discuss plans and shape how we take the plans forward.

This event is part of a series of local events for providers and community organisations throughout 2025.
This event is a collaboration between Volunteer Centre Dorset and Dorset Council’s Stakeholder Advisory Group and will be taking place on Thursday 20th November 2025 09:30 -13:00 at Dorford Centre, Bridport Road, Dorchester DT1 1RR
The first 30 minutes will be networking with the event starting at 10:00.

We have set aside time for networking during the event so that you can share best practice and ideas, we will be offering a Knowledge Drop area where attendees are welcome to share any leaflets or resources for people to take away, please do bring along anything you wish to share.
